Horseshoe Lake

In 1940 a bend in the Lewis River was isolated by freeway construction and became Horseshoe Lake. The lake spans 85 acres and has three miles of shoreline including Horseshoe Lake Park, which holds a children's play area, several picnicking and covered event areas, a boat launch, an open ball field and fishing sites.  The lake offers year around opportunities to recreate whether you want to fish, hold a reunion or exercise the family dog. The Annual Fishing Derby, and Easter Egg hunts are also held at the park. New improvements are in the works for the park in coming years, including a walking trail and water crossing.
